Incentives

Salt Lake County has relatively few incentives to offer a company expanding or relocating to the area.  The incentives that are available are targeted mainly for the unincorporated areas of the county including Magna, Kearns, Millcreek and others.  Some of the major cities within the county have incentives that include revolving loan funds, redevelopment areas, fee waivers or others.  To get information on those incentives, contact the cities directly.

Salt Lake County administers a revolving loan fund that is available to businesses who are looking to relocate or expand within the unincorporated areas of the county.  Contact Gordy Holt at 801-538-4131 for more information about the loan fund.

There are also several active redevelopment areas in unincorporated Salt Lake County where incentives may be available.  Contact Holly Robb at 801-468-2280 for more information.

The Governor's Office of Economic Development administers the Industrial Assistance Fund which provides incentives to qualifying companies that qualify.  Those qualifications include size of company, time in operation, where they will be locating, and the type of industry.
