A TRICK FOR WRITING A GREAT AD

Don't write anything. Just say your sales pitch, right out loud. Preferably in a real selling situation. Do it several times until you think you've got a pretty good pitch and you can see it's working. Then, record your pitch just as you normally give it. Have your pitch transcribed to paper and take out all the stumbles, repetitiveness, unimportant words, etc. What you'll have left, essentially, is the advertising statements you need to use. But you'll have them in the conversational way you normally talk, and in a way that has proven effective for you. Finally, rearrange the pitch to make sure it's in the most powerful organization possible and ad any transitions necessary. Voile! You've just edited your way to a great ad, without ever writing one! Who said this copywriting thing had to be so hard?
